Designed to renew and refresh the presentation and experience of the vocal recital, SongStudio brings leading musicians and other performing artists together to mentor emerging vocalists and collaborative pianists, exploring innovative approaches to both classic and current song repertoire, and inviting new audiences to engage with the art form.

In January 2025, up to 8 pairs of vocalists and pianists will be invited for a weeklong workshop that will address not only the musical and technical demands of the song literature, but also give participants additional tools that draw on other disciplines and methods of engaging audiences to present this intimate art form in new and creative ways. The week will include public master classes as well as coaching sessions with top industry professionals, culminating with a public Young Artists Recital on January 19, 2025 in Zankel Hall.
